Sig P228 was introduced in 1989 as a compact companion to full-sized P226. P228 featured same design characteristics as a P226, but is somewhat smaller. US Army has officially adopted P228 as a M11 US Army pistol, a compact sidearm for aircraft crews, military police and other personnel who needed a more compact handgun than the M9.
This is Tokyo Marui airsoft spring cocking gun version of the P228 handgun. Excellent details (for spring cocking pistol) can be found from the frame and the build of the gun is very solid.
